SunPort cares about the privacy of our users and is committed to maintaining the integrity and security of all personal information they give us. This Privacy Policy (referred to as the "Policy") explains how we use information gathered on our website (the "Site") as well as personal information provided by users of the CloudSolar® platform and related products or services (collectively the "Service").

Personal Information Collection

To create an account, you are required to submit certain personal information at registration including your name, valid email address and zip code. You must also to create an account password. Additional information is clearly marked as optional and is not required to access the Service. Should you choose to share any additional information, you are authorizing SunPort to make full use of it in conformance with this Policy.

Although provision of any additional personal information is voluntary, it may affect what features, product offerings, special offers or other opportunities are available to the Member. Product or service specific information such as electrical usage figures may be necessary for particular features or functions. In addition, personal information may affect what advertisements you see.

Account Password

Your email address and password are used together to access your account and protect it from unauthorized use. SunPort will not be responsible for lost, stolen, or otherwise disclosed passwords. Please keep your password secret and contact us immediately at if you think your account has been compromised or accessed by an unauthorized user.

Payment Details

All our payments are handled through third party payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal. SunPort does not store or have any access to information submitted on their sites, including credit card numbers or expiration dates. For information about the security of your credit card information please consult the privacy policy of your chosen payment processor.

Be mindful that any solicitation requesting you submit credit card or other account information may be fraudulent and could result in identity theft. Always access your account by a normal login directly through the website or from a SunPort application and not through a hyperlink in an email or any other electronic communication, even if it looks official. SunPort will always require authentication of your identity before prompting you for payment or other personal information.

Non Personally Identifiable Information

We use cookies to gather data and improve your experience whenever you access the website. We also receive data whenever you log into your account or use any device linked to the CloudSolar platform. This information may include the date and time, technical information such as the IP address, browser and operating system you are using, and any actions you take related to the Service. We also receive data from SunPort affiliates such as advertising partners or third party developers who are using the CloudSolar platform.


We will never intentionally disclose personally identifiable information to any third parties, for any reason at any time, except as required by court order. The information we collect is for SunPort’s internal use only and will never be sold or shared with other companies, without you explicitly opting in on such disclosure.

The information we collect is used in the following ways:

  • To deliver communications related to your use of the Service
  • To provide you with SunPort special offers and product updates
  • To resolve technical problems and to protect our Members against fraud or error
  • For market research and further development of the CloudSolar product line

Should any part of our Service be brought to you by third party contractors, they are also bound by this same Policy.

We only provide advertising partners with Member demographic data after we have removed all names and other personally identifiable information, or have aggregated the data so that no individuals are personally identifiable.

Social Media Integration

If you choose to link your account to a social network such as Facebook, Google+, Twitter, etc. you authorize us to use any information they provide about you, including the names of your contacts. However, we will always ask for your permission before sending any invitation or notice to contact addresses thus obtained.

Account Communications

By creating an account with SunPort you agree to receive electronic notices relating to your account. These notices may include status notifications, account balances, billing or shipment notifications, and other informational communications.

Marketing Communications

By default, you also agree to receive marketing communications which may include program news and Members-only special offers. If you we like to opt-out of any of these communications at any time, you may do so by changing your notification preferences by logging in to your account then going to “preferences” or by clicking the opt-out link provided in each email.

This Policy represents the entirety of SunPort’s Privacy Policy and supersedes any previous revisions. SunPort reserves the right to change this Policy from time to time. All changes will be posted to the site, and if the changes are material we will provide additional, prominent notice as appropriate.
